We choose not to look like the school day, but, instead offer enrichment to the school day in a fun, safe atmosphere with caring adult role models that keep children off the streets.
These programs are one of the few affordable ways that parents can work and have care for their children until 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Our programs offer enrichment in the following four areas:
- Academics
- Cultural Arts
- Life skills
- Recreation
All special programs are the result of the parents and students from the individual schools working with the staff people to create programs that are of interest to their population. Parents meet bi-monthly as a Parent Teacher Steering Committee (PTSC) to discuss programs and ideas. 2 parents from each school are asked to sit on the OPMAD board of directors.
